The SW1911  is a semi-automatic, single action steel (stainless or carbon) frame pistol based on the M1911 .45 ACP design. It retains the original’s dimensions, operation and feel and adds some modernity to it.

These modern updates are a serration at the front of the slide that grants easier disassembly and operation, a high “beaver-trail” grip safety, lighter weight trigger and hammer, external extractor and other updated safeties to prevent negligent discharges and discharges while dropping. The SW1911 5” was introduced in 2003 and is made up to this day. It has a double-action trigger, a grip safety and a manual thumb safety.
