Smith & Wesson Corp. has begun shipping the new Model 360 revolver, the manufacturer's latest addition to its popular J-Frame revolver line. The revolver offers consumers a new choice to meet their needs for a lightweight, powerful concealed-carry revolver for personal protection. The Model 360 features a scandium alloy frame, unfluted stainless steel cylinder, Flat Dark Earth combat grips, and is chambered in the .357 Magnum cartridge.
A while back my wife decided that she liked my venerable S&W 642 more than I did. Not wanting to argue the point (hey, I was happy she liked it and shot it well!), I bowed to the inevitable and forced myself to go shopping for a new J-frame. Life is rough, you know?
Well, I think I'm getting nostalgic. A few years ago I would have never considered buying another revolver. Now I'm thinking of buying two. Thinking about getting this J frame for my hot summer carry. My Glock 26 is just too big, especially when going to the gym and running. I think it would make a great companion to the 386NG that I'm also planning on getting for colder weather carry. Anyone own own or shot one? I carried a Model 36 Chiefs Special twenty years ago as a backup and off duty before transitioning to Glocks. Having a hammer (SA option) is a must for me (just in case).
